MATC Teachers Are Getting a Raise Higher Than Budgeted (Unexpected?)

Here I am writing about MATC again.  I am stunned by how our educators, administrative or academic, can make such irresponsible mistakes.  What sort of message does this send to our communities and students?  The region was not smart enough to see a scam last fall when it voted for a NEEDLESS $300 million+ dollars for facilities we will be paying for for a long long time.  MATC did a great job at pulling the wool over our eyes and convince us that we needed to vote for the tax increase, why is it so hard to accurately add a variable statistic to salary increases related to the cost of living?

How many of us over the last couple of years have had their expenses increase and our cost of living go up??  It is not brain surgery - but - maybe they ought to try that (they may be good at it!).
